The last day to register to vote by mail is 15 days before the Election.
To register by mail, complete the Michigan Voter Registration Application and mail it to the Township Clerk at least 15 days before the election.
The Last day to register to vote in person is 8 pm on Election Day.
Anyone who wishes to register to vote less than 15 days before an election, including on Election Day, must register in person at the Clerk's Office with proof of residency.
Any registered voter may vote by mail.
To request a ballot, complete the Michigan Absent Voter Ballot Application and mail it to the Township Clerk. Ballots are available 45 days prior to every election.
To receive an absentee ballot application for every election, contact the Clerk's Office at (616) 892-3111 and request to be put on the Permanent Absentee Voter List.
You can request to have a ballot mailed to you by the Friday before the election at 5 pm. You can also obtain a ballot in person at the Clerk's Office until 4 pm on the Monday before the election.
Voters registering for the first time on Election Day can pick up an absentee ballot in person when they register to vote at the Clerk's office until 8 pm on Election Day.
All ballots must be returned to the Clerk's Office no later than 8 pm on Election Day.
You are not allowed to register to vote on Election Day at your polling location. You must register to vote at the Clerk's Office. After registering, you may vote an absentee ballot right there at theC lerk's Office or you can take your registration receipt and vote in person at your polling location.
Note: The Clerk's Office is open the Saturday before every Election from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm to issue absentee ballots.
