The Allendale Township Planning and Zoning Department duties and responsibilities are:
- Land Use Planning
- Zoning Ordinance Enforcement
- Permitting and Inspections for Building, Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical
- Planning Commission
- Zoning Board of Appeals
- Construction Code Board of Appeals
The department has the Township’s entire land use zoning ordinance on this website as well as the Township’s Master Plan. If you would like to discuss either of these or if you would like to find out how you can be more involved with Township development decisions, please call us anytime at: (616) 895-6295, ext 1109.
Just as a reminder, you do need permits for sheds, fences, pools, and decks. If you have any questions please call the Planning & Zoning Office. Professional Code Inspections (PCI) issues all permits and does all inspections for building, electrical, mechanical and plumbing permits. PCI can be reached at 616-667-8803 to schedule an inspection or to speak to an inspector.
***The Township Board approved adopting a revised building permit fee schedule. View the resolution and fee schedule here: Resolution No. 2022-07 Building Permit Fee Schedule
